JUAN CARLOS (JC) GONZALEZ is no stranger to viewers of ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel (TFC) since prior to his hosting stint in ADOBO NATION, JC also co-hosted “Speak Out” – a weekly current affairs/town hall program that provided 2nd generation Filipino Americans a venue to express their thoughts, opinions, views and ideas regarding issues pertinent to them.

On ADOBO NATION, JC adds his sense of charisma and panache, feeling extremely at home discussing the latest news people are talking about around the country, or just shooting the breeze with co-hosts Karmina Constantino on a whole slew of various topics from health, to the environment, to travel, to lifestyle, to money matters, and food!

Back in the Philippines, JC was host/writer/researcher for “Breakfast” – a daily news magazine that featured news, current events, lifestyle, health, entertainment and sports. He also held the same responsibilities for “Team Explorer” – a weekly eco-adventure environmental show that showcased the many successful eco-tourism destinations in the country. He has interviewed various movers and shakers, from politicians to business executives, authors, entertainers, athletes, chefs and movie personalities.

JC was also a sports broadcaster/courtside announcer for the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) – the premier university sports tournament, similar to the NCAA in the US.

JC got his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ateneo de Manila University, with a major in Communication Arts in 1999.
